Reading Specialist Tutor for Children and Teens

 Our son can finally read and spell! Before we found Mrs. Ross, we had almost given up hope. The special education teacher told us he had a "cognitive" problem and would most likely never learn to write. We were so upset.  I'm tearing up as I write this, because I was afraid for my daughter's future before we found Mrs. Jeannie Ross. First, she was able to interpret the psychologist's report and explain what every test really meant (they didn't do that at the school meeting) and exactly what this meant in terms of my child's learning style/ needs. Then she assessed her and created a custom program, and from that point on Yvette really took off. The specialist at school couldn't believe how fast she was learning and asked what we had done. Dear Mrs. Ross,  Here is my recommendation/story: I'm a teacher myself, so I was extremely concerned when my third grade son did not learn to read or spell at school. They tried to have him memorize sight words and called it reading, but I knew it wasn't, and he couldn't achieve his full potential with that kind of foundation. I did a lot of research and suspected he had dyslexia. I also was interested in the science of reading, linguistic phonics, and programs like EBLI, Sounds Write, and Reading Simplified which made faster progress. That is when I discovered Mrs. Jeannie Ross. She identified his learning issues and created customized lessons to address my son's precise learning needs.
