Custom Lessons made the difference

Thank you so much, Mrs. Ross!! Your customized lessons made all the difference. We had been sending our daughter to a tutor that did the same program for every child, and our child wasn't progressing. We were told that it could take her years to catch on. Once we came to Mrs. Ross, she quickly identified where she needed to begin and created custom lessons every week that immediately brought the results we were looking for. Olivia went from bottom of the class to reading on grade level much more quickly than we ever thought possible. Highly recommend!  Jamie Covington, Chula Vista

Help for Learning to Read

My daughter knew some of the sounds, but she couldn't blend words or read like other kids in her class. It just got worse as time went on but the teachers just said we had to wait. She was receiving some extra help at school, but it was taking way too long. I finally decided to look for a tutor and found Mrs. Ross. She recognized signs of dyslexia that were later confirmed by testing. It runs in the family, which we didn't know before. It's shameful that we couldn't be helped by the school, but that is the case. Mrs. Ross knew the right teaching methods that made everything fall into place and gave my daughter self-esteem and confidence. We are really thankful.  Richard B., San Diego

My Daughter went from barely being able to sound out the simplest words to reading on grade level

Dear Mrs. Ross, Before we came to you, I was so upset with our local school system. I felt it had failed us. My daughter knew some letter sounds, but she couldn't blend anything into words. Then I found out about your program and was lucky you had a space open for us. Your musical lessons were fun and really intense.  You know every aspect of what you are teaching. My daughter loved learning to blend with the Ferris Wheel. Her phonics skills increased dramatically with every session, and in a few months you had her reading at the 2nd grade level. Thank you so much! Samantha P.  Spring Valley, CA

From Beginning 1st Grade to 3rd Grade Level in Just 4 Months!

I am the mother of a 9 year old 3rd grader.   My daughter was struggling with reading and writing for a long time.  Her school said she was behind in all subjects and needed to be put in remedial classes.  Every time I tried to help her with school work she would start crying and refuse to do her work.  I was convinced that she was afraid of books.  Then we met Jeannie.  With her angelic patience, wonderful reading techniques through the use of music, and instructional games, she made great progress with my daughter.   After several sessions with Jeannie,  my daughter has become a proficient 3rd grade reader who now very much enjoys reading in bed with her mom.  Thank you , Jeannie, you are the best ! Regards, Dorothy K.

Public Schools Don't Teach Advanced Phonics

Dear Mrs. Ross, It was hard to believe that my daughter (age 8) wasn't learning to read in school because she did well in kindergarten - but her first and second grade teachers failed her. Once we started to come to you for reading lessons, I knew exactly what had gone wrong. Public schools don't teach advanced phonics the way you do. You break it down so it's understandable and easy to learn. We had lots of fun practicing with the music and tickets on the Ferris wheel. You said she would learn quickly, but I never thought it would be this fast! Thank you so much. T.L.  (Rancho San Diego)

My 6-year-old wasn't learning in the public school system.

"Hi Jeannie, Here is my recommendation. Our 6 year old son had a rough start in first grade. He was acting up at school, not doing his work and refusing to read with us at home. We chose Jeannie as his tutor because of her years of experience, multiple qualifications, and her belief that all children have potential. Jeannie incorporated teaching methods that included singing, movement, visual stimulations, and positive reinforcement. Our son was quickly engaged. His confidence level soared, his reading abilities took off and his thirst for knowledge grew. He has completely turned around at school, continues to use the techniques and knowledge that Jeannie taught him and loves to read. Jeannie is an amazing teacher that truly loves her work. I could write a book on how wonderful you are and how grateful we for your help with Jacob. You have touched his life. Take care." Wendy M. (Tierrasanta)
