Kindergarten is the New First Grade

Our son went to transitional kindergarten before regular K but he still struggled to learn. By mid-year his teacher was concerned because he wasn't reading. He knew many of his letter sounds but couldn't seem to put them together to read words. Schools are expecting kids to read like first graders in kindergarten now. Mrs. Ross had our son reading fluently in 3 months. He is now reading as well as the top students in class. We are very happy. Tamara King San Carlos

Identifying a Child's Best Way to Learn

My 6 year old was diagnosed with a learning disability and after a cross country move and a big change in curriculum he got to the end of his Kindergarten year and didn't meet any of the academic benchmarks. In the past, we struggled to find ways of helping him at home and tried many different methods, but none offered much success. We needed help and we owed it to our son to find someone who could assist us. We were incredibly fortunate to have located Mrs. Ross. Her experience and dedication is unmatched. Mrs. Ross customized a program for my child which was adaptable from week to week depending on his learning style and needs. The transformation was exceptional and my son actually thanked me for bringing him to his weekly lessons. The greatest gift Mrs. Ross gave me was showing us which teaching methods my son needed to reach his potential. I am forever grateful to her because I know the difference it has made in his life and ours! Sincerely, Denise S.

Learning to Read was Easy with Mrs. Ross

Dear Mrs. Ross, The one thing I'd like to tell other parents who are considering your program is what a difference it can make in your child's confidence and self-esteem. Brooklyn was embarrassed because she couldn't read as well as her friends. Her teacher let us know that she was falling behind, but Brooklyn started putting up a fuss whenever I tried to help her. I think it was because her confidence was shaken. Your program was easy to practice every day at home. Brooklyn enjoyed the songs and games, especially the prizes. Now she is proud of her reading skills and really behaves like a different kid - so confident and more independent. Thank you for your fantastic program and the gentle way you work with kids. Sincerely, Alyssa F. Rancho San Diego
